The ugly duckling fairy tale
Do you know why "ugly duckling"is named "ugly"? Maybe it isn't true? Watch and listen to story with us ...

The ugly duckling
Pupils from Greece (Veria) used the tale in their english language class-after reading a simple english version, they had activities like learning the farm animals and other vocabulary from the tale, drawing, mask making and preparing a short and simple play in english.
Teacher from school made a very short video with acting pupils different ending of the tale.
Pupils from Lesvos read a story and made some craft.
Puplis from Greece wrote the thoughts and feelings of ugly duckling inside the ugly duckling and what other ducks say and think about it outside of ugly duckling. Some of outside thoughts: Why are you grey? Why are you like this? What kind of duck are you? We don't want to play with you. Some of inner thoughts are: Why am I so ugly? Why they don't want to play with me? I believe that I am beautiful. Am I lost? why everybody hates me? Should I Leave? My mom loves and respect me.
Pupils from Pszów, after watched fairy tale, prepared some craft.

Teddy Bear Day
Pupils and teachers decided to celebrate Teddy Bear Day. We found some information on

Kids from kindergarten in Jastrzębie - Zdrój listened the story "Goldilocks and three bears" and they made sweet teddy bear from jelly "bears" and bears shape crisps. They invited parents to celebrate Teddy Bear Day.
Teddy Bear Day in Pszów (Poland). Some of our teddy friends looked really strange:) Look at the blue one on the right!But OK...we are all different:)
Pupils from Greece (Veria) were engaged in activities related to Teddy Bear tales.

Visit in library
Pupils and kids decided to visit the place were books are "living". They want to showed their European friends that they like reading books and know how to take care of them.

We like the library so much that we were in 2 different library. We "met" with books four times :)

Pupils from Greece (Veria) had the chance to visit their local library and during the visit, pupils were acquainted with the place, the staff and services. Some borrowed books, some had new library cards taken out and all of us watched a presentation of Oliver Jeffers book: “Lost and found” which is about the friendship developed between a little boy and a penguin when the boy decided to take the penguin back home. Pupils enjoyed the activities that followed the presentation.

Lessons about eTwinning and our partners
Kids from Poland had lesson about eTwinning and prepared poster for parents to show project work and put name of blog to watch.They also want to prepare video with project name.
On Friday the 6th, pupils from Greece - Veria met their partners by watching the introducing ourselves videos-nice work! They also did some reading and writing practise of english by watching Ania`s pupils.
Pupils from Greece - Lesvos enjoy watching and reading about partners from other countries...it's so strange for them listen to different languages...but they love it! Children take, two hours in the week, English lessons. So they took the change to listen English and translate with our English teacher our partner's video!!!
